Politics and the Ethical Educator
Even the most casual observer of the current political scene realizes that we are living in a highly partisan era. The fraught nature of political discourse poses particular risks for educators, who are expected to be role models in their school community. An unwise or intemperate comment on social media (all too easy to do!) can derail an otherwise successful career. This webinar explains the risks, discusses the applicability of the Model Code of Ethics for Educators, and offers some practical suggestions for getting through the 2020 election unscathed. This recording is part of a webcast series of the National Council for the Advancement of Educator Ethics (NCAEE).
